These lovely folks own the historic Windom School Building and work hard to keep it in good repair as an educational and cultural resource to the Fannin County and greater NE Texas community.
Empty Bowls 2026
In the studio, we are busy making bowls in support of next year's Empty Bowls fundraiser. If you want to support the Fannin County Family Crisis Center, an essential resource in our community, or if you want to try your hand at glass fusing or ceramics without having to commit to a class, this opportunity is tailor made for you. We will be making clay bows on Mondays 2-4pm and glass bowls on Thursdays 2-4pm. You can get your name on the list of volunteers by using the form on this page. Or you can just drop by the school and join in. You can also support Empty Bowls by contributing to the supplies necessary to make the bowls. Direct contributions are welcome. Windom Art School artists have also donated work to be sold in support of Empty Bowls. All proceeds of the sales are used to fund the Empty Bowls effort.
Fused Glass
The Glass Warriors continue to make amazing art. The fact is that you, too, can make these beautiful bowls, plates, and vases, along with night lights, light catchers, jewelry, and so much more. We have an active and vibrant group of artists doing lovely work while pushing ourselves and one another into all sorts of new and exciting niches of the glass world. An Introduction to Fused Glass class will begin in January. The class will meet weekly for four weeks. The cost is $125, all supplies included. You can sign up here.
Creative Adventures
Looking for a fun night out with friends? Look no further than the Windom Art School. We can host your group of 4-6 people at $35/person. You can choose your creative topic for the event - painting, hand printing, handmade book arts, creative journaling, collage, experimental photography, fused glass, ceramics, etc. - and we’ll supply the instruction and the materials.
