Intuitive Painting with Oil and Cold Wax
Wanda will be teaching an Intuitive Painting in Oil and Cold Wax workshop at the Bonham Creative Arts Center in November. Students will use the yummy medium of cold wax to paint freely, boldly, and expansively. The workshop will met for two sessions, from 10am-1pm on Tuesday, November 18th and Friday, November 21st. Beginners are welcome. The cost is $85 for Art Center members and $100 for non-members. All supplies are included. Creative Arts Center
Several Windom Art School artists participated in the creation of an interactive tree for the Bonham Creative Arts Center's Oct. show celebrating trees. The show is not to be missed, and the interactive exhibit it great for both kids and adults. It's not often that you are encouraged to touch things in a gallery, so come out and enjoy a feast for the eyes and the hands.
Empty Bowls 2026
Believe it or not, it's time to begin making bowls in support of next year's Empty Bowls fundraiser. If you want to support the Fannin County Family Crisis Center, an essential resource in our community, or if you want to try your hand at glass fusing or ceramics without having to commit to a class, this opportunity is tailor made for you. We will be making clay bows on Mondays 2-4pm and glass bowls on Thursdays 2-4pm. You can get your name on the list of volunteers by using the form on this page. Or you can just drop by the school and join in. You can also support Empty Bowls by contributing to the supplies necessary to make the bowls. Direct contributions are welcome. Windom Art School artists have also donated work to be sold in support of Empty Bowls. All proceeds of the sales are used to fund the Empty Bowls effort.
Fused Glass
The Glass Warriors have been making amazing art all summer long. The fact is that you, too, can make these beautiful bowls, plates, and vases, along with night lights, light catchers, jewelry, and so much more. We have an active and vibrant group of artists doing lovely work while pushing ourselves and one another into all sorts of new and exciting niches of the glass world. An Introduction to Fused Glass class will begin Saturday, October 25, 10am-noon. The class will meet weekly for four weeks. The cost is $125, all supplies included. You can sign up here.
Open Studio
Open Studio is a great way to be in community with, and inspired by, like minded people. Open Studio fees are $12.50 per session. Sessions are at least 2 hours (once we are in the studio, there’s no telling how long we will stay). We supply all tools and ancillary materials you need, and you supply your major materials such as glass, paper, clay, paint, ink, etc. Times are currently Mondays 5:30-7:30pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays 2-4pm, and Saturdays 12:30-2:30pm. Curious folks are always welcome to drop in for a visit.
Creative Adventures
Looking for a fun night out with friends? Look no further than the Windom Art School. We can host your group of 4-6 people at $35/person. You can choose your creative topic for the event - painting, hand printing, handmade book arts, creative journaling, collage, experimental photography, fused glass, ceramics, etc. - and we’ll supply the instruction and the materials.
